i run a dta stand alone on mine with innovate wideband LC-1
expect to be paying around £1000-£1500 for the ecu, fitting and mapping.

Cant chipwizards now just remap the standar ecu with pretty good results?
Standalone would be better though, jsut food for thought.

yes you can have a standard ecu mapped but never to the same accuracy as a standalone. And it will be running tb's so to get the most out of it you would want a stand alone.

i wouldnt go down the route of a standard ecu with thorttle bodies!!
a standalone ecu will work with the throttle bodies alot better, also it will be more easy to map in the future!!

Yeah that's right. £495.
I recommend the Innovate LC-1 Wideband controller to go with it, which are around £140 and I can make a mini-PnP loom for that which just plugs into the standard loom connector.
I assume you've got a VTS conversion?

Wideband gives you a more detailed afr reading so allows you to map for a specific fuel ratio rather than just rich or lean of stoichiometric.
The standard KMS one is supposed to be junk. the LC1 is supposed to be good but its expensive. I went cheapo and built my own.
Sensors can be had cheap off various audis in the scrapyard. As long as its got 5 wires (6 in the plug) its a wideband.

£635 is still cheaper than omex or similar and getting that mapped!
need to sort out my wiring first, i might just buy a 3 plug loom

My ECU only does 1-plug's since it's plug and play, so if you're 1-plug, then stay 1-plug if you'reinterested in my ECU
The guy above looks to be using the J.A.W (just another wideband). It's fairly good, although not as good as the innovate, I've got one and I do like it... nothing wrong with it, just got to get the smoothing calculated correctly, the innovate seems to sort that out itself...
