Default ecu options

is there any way of getting the fuel pump working so that the car will run will run without going through the ecu. at the moment it appears to me that the injectors will only open if everything runs through the ecu. is this right and is there any way around this

thanks

Sorry, not entirely sure what you are asking. Are you trying to get the Engine to run without the "Engine control unit" ?
No
Unless you switch to carbs
Doing so will be going backwards in time.
So don't.

that's pretty much what i thought just didn't want to admit it. how i miss the days of carbs

when if the car didn't start you only had to work out if it was missing a spark or fuel and not try to work out what sensor is preventing what from working

yes its dead simple
=If you cannot work out how to wire a relay ainto the pump --then maybe its not the job for you .
question yes why would you want to --unless you are changing to carbs + distributor.
and if thats the case the fuel pump is too high a pressure to use on carbs--giving fuel reg too much work to dop to be accurate
