how do i set my music track as my ringtone, its confusing as hell.

I use the little long winded method...
Select song
trim down to 30 seconds
create aac copy
delete from itunes but have desktop shortcut
change format of file to .m4r
copy to itunes hey ho rington for youuu

+1 this works 100%
but you do get hold of lots of great apps when you jail break it!
Plus you can download themes
heres my iPad theme on my iPhone 3g
