I've always thought a nice set of alloys always set a car off.

Also looking at doing some paintwork on her, painting mirror inserts green and putting tow strap on neatly next week, sprayed air con vent inserts gloss black today as well as was bored and they look alright lol, also heading over to Aylesbury to see kam racing in a few weeks to put a new outwardly rolled centre section and back box on to match manifold.

Haha lol, I don't think they look that bad, just need a bit of tinkering to make them less shiny and blend in a bit better

You might want to contact a moderator and have the thread moved to "Your Saxo photos" section.
Make sure to start checking for rust and make a plan for curing if any as it's often the major "problem" with these.

Alright thanks for that will do that this evening
As far as I can tell there doesn't seem to be much rust on her... Probably because we're quite far away from any salty water, I've checked the common places like ecu tray and battery tray which seem to be in good nick, apart from the battery clamp which will be replaced soon anyway... Are there any spots in particular that I should be looking at that I could've missed?
Thanks again

Picking up a kam racing centre section and back box this coming Friday, 2 1/4 inch outwardly rolled tip all straight through no silencers, will be putting up pics of the process to help anyone who is looking to get an idea of how it all fits together for a reference on their car, hopefully it will help as a fitting guide too.... Will put a cheeky vid up after its all fitted too

Got a few more bits for it today, cat decided she wanted to take a verdict of my new pads lol, vented front discs and drilled rear discs, new pads also for front and back, new rocker cover gasket as it will be getting sprayed... Does anyone know what size bolt the Torx bolt is that holds the discs in location? This car has none on it anymore and It's a bastard to align the holes up for wheel nuts.

Peugeot 206 brakes are a nice upgrade that still fit under the vtr wheels ive heard.
My car I currently lease goes back in September so ill be buying another saxo so looking on here for inspiration.
How did you find the manifold? When I fitted one to my old vtr I found it lost some low end power so I ended up putting the cat back on.

Pretty sure the brake disc screws are M6 size, you can stainless steel ones on ebay which are handy as they don't rust in and last longer

Hi stingray, i get what your saying about the 206 brakes i used to have them on my older vtr but without changing the brake servo for a larger one and calipers to suit theres not much noticable difference in braking power and the manifold is great, heat wrapped mine which helps a fair bit but not noticed any loss at low revs, just a bit faster at high speeds, 4-1 manifolds are designed to do exactly that where as 4-2-1 manifolds will put most of your torque down to lower rev range, which the saxo has already got pretty good torque at anyway i got mine from a freind but if you was planning on getting another one i would advise to stay away from ebay as the ones i've had from ebay dont fit the manifold studs very well... And cheers ben, will probs go screwfix and get some more lol its a right pain in the arse atm trying to locate discs behind the wheel! Haha cheers lads.

Also stingray if you want to get a 4-2-1 manifold most of them will require a oil filter re location to where the mk1 oil filter is located.
