IMO it does NOT take 4weeks to realise a set of coilovers are fooked. Fair enough if you aren't mechanically minded yourself you might not notice. Your 'mechanic' however, should have noticed, and he should NOT have started to tamper with them IF they where damaged. IMO he has messed about with them, therefore HE has damaged them.
Your mechanic should foot the bill, not Jordy

my mechanic never damaged them tho so why should i lose out money?
you gotta all put yourselves in my point of view
it didnt take 4 weeks for god sake it took 2 weeks, they came i looked at them didnt notice the damage and then 2 weeks later which was the nearest time i could have my car booked in for fitting the damage was noticed

Still shouldn't take 2weeks though.
Any why did your 'mechanic' strip them down if they where damaged?????
If a product is damaged, you report it straight away and DO NOT tamper with it in ANY way whatsoever

i offered to send them back to you mate, you didnt want them. so i'm perfectly happy to let pay pal sort it out as thats their job.
you dont wanna be fair and sorts things out maturely thats your problem
how do i know you didnt take them photos ages ago, you have no proof that they were in perfect working order. i had to spend 80 quid straight up on them having a professional engineer drill out ABS sensor into the legs, so i think i've lost out a lot more than you have mate, just grow up and except responsibility for the damaged good which you sent me

You have messed about with the parts that have been sold. They have been 'altered' from the state they arrived in. NO work AT ALL should be carried out on any item bought that is not in a condition that is 'fit for purpose'. If the coilovers arrived damaged, this should have been reported before they where touched.
Your mechanic should have checked the condition before he started happily drilling away at them. YOU SHOULD CHECK ALL ITEMS FOR DAMAGE BEFORE ALTERING/FITTING

Im just gonna leave it at that now. Waste of time as you said.
I just feel for jordy because he has a decent rep on here, and he wouldnt tarnish it for a a few quid when he obviously has alot of parts to shift. I feel for him losing out on the money and now having knackered coilovers aswell

Who is your mechanic can i ask?
It sounds like your mechanic has cross threaded them.
I would be asking the mechanic to foot the bill.
He shouldnt of done any work with them before checking them.

I know i am well late on this thread, couple of points on paypal
1st they should not have refunded until goods were returned to seller
second if the goods have been tampered with ie dismantled or drilled then that is down to the customer and paypal again should not have refunded
were these points made to paypal if i not i would contact them and appeal the decision

Holy shit!! Sort of settles it now though, mechanic has messed up here and jordysport shouldnt be put to blame.
You just don't take a hammer and driver to a set of coilovers, It's pretty common knowledge!

I cant see the pictures, but a hammer and driver to coilovers WTF was that guy thinking? If that is the case then the 'mechanic' is to blame here, not Jordysport.
Looking at Tom's reaction of 'holy shit' I am guessing they are well & truely fooked.

LOL!!!!!! Not what the pictures & responses say.
Your 'mechanic' (if you can even call him that after what he has done) has fucked the coilovers up. He/his business should foot the bill.

Jordy I would get on to paypal see what they say ring them up they do take a dim view of items that have been tampered with worth a shot. Cannot believe the cheek of some buyers you will always get one but that is a total insult

Thats complete bollocks, he buys them, they become damaged in his hands then sends them back.
Fuck that, I would do everything in my power not to give him a penny back
