Battery Problems...
Right,
I have had a search but all the answers seem to goto the alternator.
Basically, My battery died last year, so I replaced it with a new Halfords battery, which did the job. However, the last few times i start the car, I've noticed that it seems to struggle, I guess its the weather.
But after leaving it since New Years day, till about 2 hours ago i turned the key, to a slow starter motor, which couldn't start the car.
So my question is, is there a way I can check to see if something is draining the power? i.e. keypad, or radio?
and what voltage should I be getting once the car is running?
Many Thanks
RIch

14vish across the battery with the car running, and 11/12vish with it off. Mine's been struggling to turn over tbh and battery is only a year old!
I'm thinking starter motor is sticking a bit in the cold weather really, as today it seemed to start up fine and I hadn't drove it for a day or two with weather being milder no frost/ice/snow

dis conect one of the battery leads and put a multi meter from the lead to the battery and check the current drain!

I work for Halfods, just take it back, (what year warranty is it 3,4 or 5?) and they should just replace it. We can also do an Alternator test to see if that's not working properly.

We do it all the time, just clean it up a little so it looks newish and they should just exchange it. If that fails drive down to devon and i'll exchange it for you. =]
