My friend had the same problem coming from a fast motorbike to an Integra typeR.
The revs rise so quickly his instinct was to MASH the gearchange.
the actual answer is to allow the engine to rev really quickly in gear, then consciously take your time on the gear change and the clutch re-engagement. Don't try to race the engine when you are changing gears because you'll have two gearbox rebuild bills like he did!

Yeah I always make sure I take my time when changing. After going though 5 gear boxes. This ones been in 3 year now and took a good hammering on track. Will just have to see how it goes.
Just come home from being out in the car and it popes the dipstick up and spat a little oil out

Done that a few times lol
Normally means worn rings but my two lumps have both done it till I removed catch tank so they could breath properly, check your cam breathers mate
Engine isn't venting and creating crank case pressure

Got the jp4 covers on and both breathers go into one might try 2 separate ones see if that helps

All 4 cylinders pressure tested to 160 psi give or take a few psi.
The breathers aren't blocked but it does go to a catch tank going to pipe both indervisual and see if that helps

Wasn't the thrust
Gear linkage wasn't set right so today was a bit of a waste of time.
Did notice the when the cars jacked up and I spin a wheel the opposite side spins the same way. I always thought that it was ment to spin the opposite way

Well I must have done something to the box when it was out as the noice is still there. It drives fine just loud. Going to see how long it lasts. I have a spare xsi box in the garage so that will go on when it goes pop.

Just finished putting the new gear box in and took the car out.
Going to have to find a vts gear box because the xsi one Is no good. The ratios are far to short for my car

reference clutch arm - you could think about going hydraulic if you plan any more power upgrades - as you approach 300ft/lb that clutch wont hold and you'll need to go lug drive. It's like driving a standard clutch (albeit with a nasty bite point)
You know you'll go for more power eventually...

Going to sort a be box before I think of more power.
Going to start collecting hubs and and and such next week. After I spend a weekend at work sorting out what parts I need.
