Question troubles with headunit

heya guys having a few electrical troubles and wanna see if i can solve it before i spend money on a sparky, basicaly some times when i pu key in egnition the stereo wont come on and even after starting engine and then a few minutes later it comes on, and every now and then it turns off or just restarts, now ive got two diffrent head units both of which worked before and now they both turn off. ive had an 800W sub and amp aswell as a cap so i dont think its voltage issues, if anyone can help it would be really greatful. (i have recently installed exeon bulbs if that changes anything however the fault occours wether they are on or off.

maybe a fault in the power feed to the head unit. on the back of the head unit there is a yello and a red wire. 1 is contant 12v and the other comes on with the ignition (constant 12v holds memory for the head unit). try running another feed from the back of the barrel just to make sure its not no dodgy wiring. ime sure the red is constant and yello is ign, maybe the other way round. oh also make sure u have a solid earth, even make a new 1 to the body of the car.
