haha, i know you were jokng dude but didnt want to clutter your thread with my pics.. as long as you saw them thats all that matters.
ive had a quick skim through your engine problem thread. i think you should just do it like you say and then, it will be like starting from fresh agan as regards to cam timing/mapping/spec so can be done right first time....

Good words Danny, I agree completely. Not only that, but ditching the mk2 ECU will probably be one of the best things I ever do!
Mate, if you wanna post pics, that's cooool. I don't mind.

Ok awesome man. I'll let you know when i'm looking to order.
I spotted the thread in the performance section. Torque figure seems good over standard though. As you've said previously it might have something to do with the timing or from when it was mapped last.
But as you've said you want to go TB's ... Standalone ya? Just do it!

Yeah, torque was very good. But it's just pulling through the rev range. Tis probably a combination of using an old map and having a fairly high spec cylinder head at the same time. It needs some TLC... Heh. Ja! Standalone!

Thanks.
Not sure TBH. I could do them this Sat, as GreenSaxo has been very kind and explained to me how to do the work. But the thing is, I'm planning on getting my ABS stripped out, and the brake lines re-wired, plus a bias valve fitted, so it might make more sense to fit the calipers then... Hmm...

I don't have the same light issue, but I have noticed that sometimes when I turn the key to prime the engine, the light is on, and other times is isn't. Odd...
Yes, Danny kindly pointed that thread on moaners out to me. I'm currently waiting for some feedback from GDI on a iTB conversion I mailed them about...

Cheers Ads.
See my reply to Mark51 above... If I go for the second option, could be a few weeks.

My only concern is getting the bleeding done correctly. Have you done this before?

Sorry to be lazy, but I can't b bothered to read back. Have you got a jp4 head?
I have just bought one for the bargain price of £50!
Bleeding brakes is pretty straight forward but just time consuming, try and borrow a pressure bleeder from someone! Then it is soo easy!
You didn't say how much you got your brake setup for?

toadus, brake bleeding is easy peasy. if you want, pm me when your ging to do it an ill give you some tips.i personally wouldnt use a pressure bleeder as they have a tendancy to fuck seals (and its just as easy with hands, stop being lazy )
oh and the carbon fog inserts are a right biatch to get right.

At work we use pressure bleeder as mercs have a high pressure pump in the abs unit! Pressure bleeder used correctly to the correct pressure settings is no harm!
