It feels great dude! I need to give the brakes some testing and that, but the garage already took the car out, bed the brakes in, and set the bias valve so braking is equal, and neither front or back locks before the other...
Not sure what to do about the cams mate. It was disappointing at the RR day to see the large wheel loses. I have a sneaky feeling it might have been the beefy tyres and also their low pressure, but I couldn't say for certain. One thing is for sure, and that's the fact that I'm still running a stock ECU with a map which is old. I want to go bodies soon, but the list if things to do is growing. I need to do: suspension, gearbox and then bodies, in that order.

It should be around 4150rpm, depending on how accurate your speedo is.

Is there a "jealous" smilie on here somewhere?
Car and bits look awesome toad!
Is there a real advantage of having the hydraulic handbrake over the standard one - either in the real world or on track?

Sounds wicked JP! But I'll be honest with you, that track scares me!!!

I think so mate. I haven't given them any tests from high speed yet, but I think it's fine. I've got new brake pipes fitted, no ABS, new calipers discs and pads, so should be fine!
I've given my old 306GTi6 calipers and discs to Finchy, and if they are OK on his car, he'll buy them off me. BTW, of the 4 pads that came out of my old calipers, 3 were all almost new, but one of them had nearly half the amount of pad material left! I guess that's the answer! But how can something like this happen?

Cheers matey!
A fair question... Certainly in the real world and on the track, there's no advantage with the hydraulic handbrake, but you never know, I might get the car on some rallying sometime. It made sense to do it because of all the work with the bias valve and the new brake pipes. But in the real world, it's a pain in the arse!! Hehe.

Yeah man, loving it. Feels so much more stable and complete.
I'll have a good think about the ring trip mate. When are you planning on going? I really would love to go, but might not go on track... Don't trust myself yet.

Nice to see some happy faces in the Toad camp for once!
How are the brake lines run do you know? Was speaking to a lad with a golf & he had re-done his brake lines pretty much the same as yours with a new bias valve in the cockpit, i quite fancy doing mine but does the ABS affect this or did you just rid the ABS for track use?

Cheers matey.
They're all new brake lines, and yes, the ABS has all been removed.
