AVG or Avast?
Which do you have, and prefer?

Ive got both. Avast did a pre-load up scan and removed the Vundo Trojan I had. AVG still seems to pick it up though, although the pop ups have stopped and my auto updates are back too (the vundo disabled them). Oh and avast updates itself all the time, just dont have the sound on or a voice tells you 'Virus protection has been updated'. Pretty scary at 1 in the morning with no light on!

I've used both and I currently use avast 4 across the home network. AVG had a couple of issuse with self updating but apart from that the protection was pretty much the same.... not had any virus issues with either

youve got both on the same PC? what a complete waste of time and resources if so..
avast seems less resource hungry compared to AVG tho, plus AVG has let stuff through on me in the past (yes it was up to date)

I used Avast for years.
Switched to AVG after a virus got through.
AVG is buggy as shit.
Forever starting scans and takes alot of process memory up.
I cant really recommened Avast! because it doesnt protect as well as AVG.
Im now on Macafee.
Sometimes paying is the only solution, said the hooker.

Have always sworn by AVG although avast is making a hell of alot of progress in the past year or 2.
Updated to the new AVG not so long ago and im not keen on it much, heavier on resources, fills my google search with daft logos and goes ape if you try to open a keygen etc.
Its not pissed me off enough to change yet but its definitely heading in that direction

Used to use AVG, and had to keep reinstalling Windows, cause shit kept breaking. Got Avast! this time, seems good so far, picked up on a virus and alerted me, which AVG never did. I used to love AVG, but Avast! has come along now.
