Any boxers on here?
So who does boxing on here? I personally love it. Great fun, teaches you discipline and keeps you fit

I used to do mauy Thai but I had to give it up because of work commitments, I regret giving it up.
Do you fight (in the ring) or just to keep fit?

Not boxing but used to do a lot of Muay Thai and the occasional BJJ session..
It's great imo, very physical and strength based especially when grappling (it's so tiring)
Would end up with some absolute shiners from training never mind sparring, all very good fun though!
Actually starting back soon however finding a new trainer as my old fighting club has gone downhill apparently..

Kickboxed for a few years.
Done MMA on and off.
Was going to get into it properly in the summer but I'm going to do Krav Maga instead, the ultimate to real fighting

This type of thing is what really pisses me off....
As far as i can work out most of the above are not 'boxers' or 'mma fighters' all you do is occasionally hit a punch bag or have a wrestle with a mate. No1 has gone toe to toe with someone with the potential to get knocked out.
Sorry to be seen to be havin a go but in life it seems if your not a boxer your a professional football player. Wheres karl pilkington aka bullshit man when ya need him.
p.s. I did boxing at uni last year, i trained. did bagwork, spa'd with other lads. Am i a boxer? No and neither are most of the above.

No1 in particular. Im just generalising. People may have boxed properly in this thread. But im just sayin there is a major difference between hitting a punch bag and goin toe to toe with someone.

I dont think anyone on here claims to be a fighter of any description. Everyone posted has said they train a specific art but thats it. I think I'm the only competing fighter, and even I didn't say I'm a fighter?
