and from having a quick look it looks like either the driveshaft has popped out of the gearbox or snapped by the gearbox

If you wash it every week then it should fly through the MOT

Nope! Like I said in a previous post, when I jacked the car up the majority of the gear box bolts were loose!

If you have only just had a new box and its gone already is something majorly wrong with how it was fitted that or you drive it like you stole it haha
Hope you get it sorted :-)

cheers mate
but it isnt looking good! was just at the garage, they said its the clutch thats gone, but it cant be the clutch! because it engages all the gears fine etc also there was power going to the drive side wheel, but it was the passengers side not getting any power, so im thinking the gear box has had it tbh

I would of sacked it off if i had a £700 repair bill.. £700 towards another car. Fair play though.

i know, but i thought maybe if i spent that much on it it might of been good for a good while! but obviously not really am tempted for a gti though!
600 quid LESS to insure a cammed gti than to insure my vtr!

right i have decided that i want more umph and i wanna get rid of this car, so 16v i go! hopefully cammed aswell if i can find a decent one
just wondering whats the best option to go about this car though? scrap it? ( would get 180 for it ) , break it, fix it then sell it? it will have 10 or 11 months mot and tax till december, refurbed axle, new ball joints etc
really dont know how to go about this? any advice would be great!
