a previous owner of my car decided not to clean a bit of shit off the rear quarter right next to the window, and now im missing some paint where its burnt on and flaked away

Err, no it won't. Polish provides no paint protection. Even wax will be eroded if the bird shit is left on for some time, then it'll attack the lacquer, then you're in a world of pain...

hense why bird crap gets wiped off instantly, i have had to polish too many red cars with pink patches due to bird crap, and other colours but red is the easyest damaged i find

AG bird dropping wipes wont ruin any wax finish or sealant you have on the car, window polish may strip that.

my complete drive is under a huge tree, bird crap is a pain in the ass! hard to get off, and messes your paint over!
