mono for the sub and class AB for the comps

- better flexiblity of options for set up of each amp to each range of speaker

- better flexibility of power (more to sub) etc

- freqs do not crossover: lows to the sub (from mono) mids / hi's to comps (from AB)

depends on your bank account though

thers nout wrong with saving up over time.. thats what ive done, well worth it!

£40 will barely buy you a decent set of wires, let a lone a sub and amp

unless you meant £400? lol
