Default How to get the most out of your SLR?
Iv had my Nikon D40 for about a year now and feel that im really not doing it justice. Its pretty much as it came out of the box with an 18mm lens and uv filter, no other fancy bits and pieces yet.

Can anyone give me some tips on how i should be taking my photos or how i should be setting the camera up, such as with different things like landscape, cars, etc.

Any guides online or hints from yourselves would be greatly appreciated
