if you mean the inner lever to get out. the saxo one is curved at the top, and the 106 one is square allround. thats how i needed to change it. otherwise the surround doesn`t clip in / fit properly. plus with the saxo one fitted you will have a bit off a gap at the top. i tried the saxo one first and thought it didn`t look right thats why i got the proper thing. unless the saxo one on your mates car is straight at the top . but i doubt it.

also you can see the rivetts(is that even a word) where the 106 bolts line up too, i remeber when me and yates did mine we just punctured them in with a hammer and something sharp and pointy! then went about screwing in with self tappers

i had already done mines with the 106 cards without making a guide. then i bought a saxo vtr turbo to put the turbo parts onto mines. then decided to do a guide between the 2 cars. as one had vtr interior and mines had the 106 interior.

im abit confused as to what to do with the mirror plates?
i dont understand what you mean when you say put the vts mirror motors in the back of the mirror...where exactly
and if not doing that we need to buy 106 interior mirror plates to keep the manual adjusters?
cheers

see where you adjust your mirrors on the lever bit. the plastic triangler piece where the lever comes through ? that is 2 short for the 106 doorcards so you have to get the mirror plate from a 106 with manual mirrors. when thats fitted the 106 doorcards will line up properly.
if you haven`t got electric mirrors that would be the route to go down, rather than buying the electric mirror motors.
