the direzzas are great. We found the fronts wore quickly on the nose heavy Lupo. If you have not got a smooth throttle control with your turbo setup you might want something a little harder in compound

Can only go off my experience on track with my near 160bhp Saxo edges wore quicker but main tread lasted better! Especially now nearly have price of r888 as toyo have gone to expensive now IMO ok 2nd hand if price right

true, ive used them on a couple of 500kg westfields and im impressed.

ill have to get in contact with a dunlop dealer and see if they do different compounds.
like you say, with my setup and also doing nurburgring laps i dont want something that will go off on me 3/4 of the way round the track.

Good to hear you liked your RB5's.

I was weary of them with them being remoulds, but I thaught sod it, they're cheap enough and when being used for sprinting they're unlikely to overheat and delaminate.
Had 4 of them fitted round my VTR wheels and out of the 4, 3 of them had eggs in the sidewalls

Had them removed and replaced with the Toyo's which were on offer at the time so weren't that much more. Been impressed so far but the prices have gone stupid so will hive the A048 a try next.

What was the wear like on your RB's?

Absolute krap in the wet though!
Buy some decent tyre's and if you had a lot of power to put down you would see why theyre crap. Why spend loads of money on suspension making it handle if the tyre's slide.

They're my wet weather tyre's for when I just can't get any heat in the r888s at the rear.

I don't have a lot of power to put down and neither do most people who own saxo's. Just think with my spec and some dry weather and once they are warmed up they really aren't too bad. However i only have experience of t1R's T1S's and proxes 4's and nankangs the latter are as bad as having tyres made from ice!

They're a 195-45-15. Doesn't it say that on the tyre beside the 7-22-15?

Dont inflate them to 30+ psi like a radial tyre.

Try high teens to low/mid 20's pressure wise and see how you get on.

Ye cold.

What slicks do you have? Radial or Crossply?

Its not ideal running different tyres like you suggest.
