you can tint them as dark as you like. as long as you can still see the break lights. about 5 coats is good. i done my corsa ones as black as i could, passed the mot, been stopped by cops for other reasons and they didnt say anything. i was worried at first but its all good

just done mine on my new furio lol took about 30mins lol didnt do them too dark. looks good thoo

done my own and on the glossy mk2 lights it came out as good as professional... literally i cant tell the difference.. an with mk1 they are slightly more matt so they come out funny with the tint spray but it works soooo well (:
do it, just one layer though.. dont go mad (:

just use tint spray from halfords and make sure you clean lights before spraying

i just used gloss black spray paint on mine... very light coating made sure reflectors could be seen and it was all good

i masked the clear bit off (reverse light and smoked the rest and they look pretty good
