That's the good news so now the bad news:
The standard cat was too short so after my mechanic ordered a pipe for it to put it on for MOT it failed on emissions again cos the standard cat was knackered so he went and bought a cat and told me it cost £120.00 and then passed the MOT.
£120.00 for a cat that only gets put on once every 12 months for MOT is an outrage can't believe it.
Moan over.

Least its got an MOT and now you can keep that CAT for next time
Come MOT time, I have to get a cat, centre pipe and backbox lol

Bloody hell mate sounds worse than mine lol.
Just seems a bit pricey even more so to say it got took straight off after mot and won't get used for another 12 months.

Well first plans are to get the engine bay covers etc re sprayed.
Dropped them off with mark off here today so they will be done next week in cobolt blue to match the colour of the car.
Then the next plans that I would like to get done first are:
Show cage for the back
BMC CDA induction kit to replace the green cotton
Maybe some gti leathers or 2 buckets in the front
Cam it
Then if money's still good throttle body it.

Nah going to leave the angels on saves me spending money on morettes when I've got other things to buy.
Better than the standards so will do me.

I'd have asked the garage for the MOT certificate, say thankyou very much, take the CAT off, give it them back and only pay for the MOT.
I'd never let a garage do work on a car of mine without prior authorisation, I just think its not very professional.

each to thier own dude for me id have sprayed only the ecu cover blue and left the rest yellow. its always nice to tie everything in but having everything all one colour can soon look borin.
for example your radiator pipes could get yellow then have a nice aluminum radiator in to compliment the polished rocker covers. you could have easily kept the strut brace yellow and the coil cover yellow as it would all tie in very neatly. the next step would be to get some Badass (as the company is called) covers for the brake reso & fuse box. your enginebay would be done then.
depends if your trying to draw attention to the enginebay or not tbh.
have a look in my progress thread ive done yellow and blue and polished you'll see what i mean by trying to tie everything in together yes its not a saxo but the principle is still the same.
