gsavill90's Icelandic Grey VTR... sold now :(
Just picked this up yesterday..
2003 Vtr.. 45k miles.. in icelandic grey
Plans are to keep it subtle..
Magnex exhaust has been fitted, and the front end is down 40mm.
I've got some smoked front lights on the way, as well as a lower engine mount and some braided brake lines.
Also i have some kam racing gear linkages to go on.
It will have oz super t's on as soon as i can get the locking wheel nuts off!
And the rear end will be dropped to match the front as soon as possible!
Plans for the future...
-green panel filter,
-dewiper,
-sound install.. boot build!!
-GTi leather interior.
-fast road brake package from kam racing with mintex pads..
That's about it.. keep it subtle!

It's a lot more refined. The 16v was never running right, so it was like nothing to 4000rpm, then mental to 6000rpm.
The vtr feels quicker, and a lot safer. I dunno about top end yet.
Also, since picking it up yesterday I averaged 32mpg, so it's a bit better on fuel too!
Cheers for all the comments guys!

How's the magnex? is it LOUD? I'm after a performance exhaust that isn't super loud!

It's practically silent!
Basically just like the standard exhaust but a tiny bit more sporty.
I think this is mainly because I've still got a cat though.
I'd go for a supersprint system personally, from kamracing you can save 45quid for being on here!

not sure about putting your oz's on there mate. i think the black VTR's suited it, unless they needed a refurb. How about swap your Oz's for Team dynamics PR 1.2's???

Smart car my friend, but why oh why did you buy those wheels man? They are ghastly, the standard ones looked a million times better

The lower engine mount is insane... vibrations in the car are mental!!!
Cant wait to give it a proper drive. Totally changed the feel of the car.
I'm also nearly out of my overdraft (within 100 quid) so i'm planning a few more things...
I'm thinking..
-upper strut brace,
-rear lowered (may have to go to garage as i rounded one of the torx bolts )
-Gti Interior,
-Kam Racing fast road brake kit..
I want to get all this done before trax!
