Mango 16v TB'd Westcoast

Hi Guys,

Some of you may have seen my project thread on SSC however i thought i'd make this thread up for those of you that havent. I'll try and keep the writing brief,

So...

My project started this time last year when i had finished my 2nd year exams at uni and wanted something to keep me busy while on my placement year!

So decided to go abit crazy with the westy, one of the reasons for doing it was the rareity of Mango VTS's around

First decision was to either go for the engine first or make the chassis capable of taking the VTS power. I had just sourced a VTS engine with only 56k on it, single plug ecu so was perfect for my car. Even with that temptation i decided the best way to go about things was to prepare the chassis for the new engine first.

I set about putting a VTS disk beam on the rear, but then found out it was roggered, so decided to investigate how to refurb it







Billies were added all round





New drop links and bushes all round









Then it would be rude not to install bigger brakes and braided hoses while i was at it!





That was stage one complete,

I then went to an RR day in November and she did me proud making 83bhp @ fly with 100k on the clock and just induction kit and de-cat!



This is how she sat for the fast approaching winter months

looking good mate, would colour code the ming mirrors and get rid of the tints and shopping list

looks nice mate not sure on the wheels tho,as sadi before mirror caps would make it look better buddy

Which is the same as the VT* Chassis

You'll have to pop round when you get chance mate

I've just written stages 2,3,4 & 5 with still more to go!! I'll update in due course, so keep you eyes out for more updates guys,
