You can get your music from anywhere, but you have to transfer it to the Ipod via itunes..

if the headphone socket works when you plug headphones into it then it is an output, pluging the ipod into it will not work. Look for phono inputs on the back of the unit (red and white connectors)

Yes, they are worth the money, if you use it often.

1. music can be copied off cds and mp3's can be imported. organising files sometimes are a bore... if your impatient like me.

2. plug it in and find out.

3. personally id rather buy a cd and throw it in car. ipods are great for personal use (jogging, gym, public transport) but in car can be a pain trying to find the right track if you got millions of albums on there like i have. much easier finding the cd you wanna listen to and putting it in stereo.

You're *supposed* to use iTunes to transfer the music from your computer to your iPod, but there are alternatives. You don't need to buy your music again from the iTunes store, you can rip cd's to mp3s and use *illegally* downloaded mp3s as well.

It sounds like you have a aux line-in jack? You should be able to use a female-to-female cable to play your iPod through your stereo using the Aux setting of your head unit.

And yes, I would say most definately worth it. I'm only on my 2nd iPod, first one lasted me a couple of years but then the battery died from relentless use.

i've got 4 or 5 ipods and are defintely worth the money don't know why i have 4 or 5 just had an obsession for them at one time, you can copy your cd's into your library and plug your ipod in and it copy's all of them onto your ipod.
