Default Canon EOS 500D (Changing picture format!!)

Hey guys just got this camera off my Dad, but when i take a photo i have to look through the top lens, is there anyway i can get it on the screen? Like the photo below... Thanks

Also i took a load of photos today accidentally in the RAW mode and now i cant see them on my laptop, how can i convert them to JPG?

In the menu, go to 'liveview function settings' and enable that.

Once done click the SET button on the camera. It is only MF btw. Hope that helps

It will only do live view in AV mode and obviously video mode, that sucks!!

Got that from my 1000d (doesnt have video) liveview only works when in av, tv, or M.

The button top right of the screen, press it while taking a photo, walah.

On my 60d I press the dedicated live view button and have 3 AF modes.

Look in your manual for liveview

just a quick word of warning live view is mostly pants, AF dosn't work properly and the pic quality is not as good

stick with the view finder
