Default Is it possible to connect bluray to old tv

I have a sony bluray dvd home cinema system, and an oldish tv. illl be buying a new tv soon, but will i be able to connect them together? the tv has usual scart sockets, and red white yellow sockets.

i have a virgin box plugged into the tv by scart lead, the virgin box has a ethernet connection, and the bluray has an LAN(100)

is it possible to buy a cable that goes from scart to hdmi. the tv has scart the bluray has hdmi

If the blu ray player only has HDMI then you need HDMI to comply with HDCP.

Should be able to connect it to a tv using the components and only plugging in the red, yellow and white connections. You might need to get hold of a rca to scart as i doubt the tv has the phono connections.

But why would you do that? It defeats the point of a bluray player
