Cleaning & Re-greasing electrical contacts
Morning all, I guess this comes under the 'car care' category.
I've taken apart and have cleaned all of the contacts on my engine loom to rid it of general muck and old dried out grease.
Now I need to reapply some good electrical contact grease before refitting.
I know a quick and easy solution is to use Vaseline, however I'm not one for applying things simply because 'it'll do'. What have people used in the past and what is recommended for longevity?

I was cleaning up one of our 11KV breakers at work only earlier this week and am sure the tube of compound I was using was by Fischer electronics. Really couldn't remember the model of it though. Could be worth a look at them! We would of most likely bought it from City Electrical Factors or Farnell if you have enough time to ponder through their site. Failing that its worth asking at parts depo of a few places as I know Vaux put their compound on the battery terminals at services now or day. Shouldn't be a bad price as they're normally in a small syringe
