Default Fibreglass roofskin

How strong will 1 of these be?

I have a full omp weld in rollcage too.

Just wandering if its worth getting 1 or not?? What do you think??

very weak indeed.

but the roof skin is not there for strength.

your cage will keep you safe. a lot safer than a saxo without a cage.

it will safe you some weight but thats about it.

also you risk it cracking where as a metal one wont.

ive never thought about it cracking. Thats a good point, especially with how stiff the car will be. Might just replace the sunroof with a carbon sheet.

if you wanted a replacement skin to a budget, a gel coated carbon skin would be a better option, even if we did do a fibreglass skin we would always put some carbon in it for strength in the main areas of weakness etc.

1st roof skin will be complete next month, starting to get the mould ready for laminating soon and then get one done and fitted
