Default Removal of Rear Axle on VTR TYPICAL

Hey, im swapping my rear axle on my vtr for a re-cond one because i broke the other. Im pretty sure how to get everything off EXCEPT the solid brake pipes.

What part do i remove them from? Will i need to bleed them as soon as my axle is back on?

Help is needed a.s.a.p
Thanks

just simply unbolt the pipes from your existing axle, remove old axle, replace with new axle and then just bolt the brake pipes on to the new axle.

will need to blead the brakes.

as above. d/c any abs plugs if you have abs.

4 nuts and bolts hold the axel on, piss easy to get off.

Hardest part will be undo'ing the brake lines.

Get the proper brake line spanners from halfrauds other wise you will round them off
get the 9mm 11mm and 10mm 12mm spanners

will come in useful in future.

undo one taht is closest to front of car, that screws into flexi hose which then goes to solid line to caliper.

So unscrew ones closest to font of of car then unclip from axel if they are clipped down.

You will see as your removing it dude.

best place we found to remove the brake lines is the biax box on the rear beam

then you can get the lines off the beam in realtive comfort off the car if theyre needed

11mm brake spanner iirc
they can be a pain but we found motorcycle chain grease was a good way to lube it to ease getting it out

its not a hard job to do
fitting the new 1 is more of a pain lol

yea
theres 2 that go to the beam
and 2 that run forward to the car

undo the 2 that go to the car
to do it easily drop the beam down (rest it on some stands of boxes)
gives you more room to reach them
