Installation is the most important thing if you want to get the best from your speakers. Go over to the talk audio forums and have a look at the installations there for ideas. Post again on here if you need help when you're ready to start.

You'll need the following to do your doors properly:
MDF rings to mount your speakers(ebay or make your self), to give them a solid non-fexing mounting point.
Sound deadening - I use SS damplifier from Car audio direct, theres cheaper alternatives but it's real easy to use, nice and sticky. Bulk kit is enough for doors, boot and some left over.

You'll also ned a decent wiring kit.

They are and if that suits your pocket better then go with them.
I'm not a fan of SPL, but i havent heard those particular speakers so cant give you true opinion, I have heard the others and would be happy with them in my car, I run a more expensive version of the DLS speakers and the difference isn't huge for the money.
I just wouldn't go overboard with the HU, not £350.
Like I said installation is important, the work pays off in the end.
