Guide: Cleaning your engine bay
Seen as there has been a lot of threads on cleaning your bay, I thought I would do a quick but effective guide on how to do it!
I started off with a Vikan Brush, Raceglaze detailing brush and Chemical Guys Orange Super De-Greaser diluted 6:1
Now I recommend you keep your engine running throughout the clean, also cover any exposed ECU's, Fuse Boxes, Looms etc... But as long as your dont put direct pressure onto electrics then you'll be fine!
Also I recommend using some Tru-Touch gloves as the De-Greaser can stain... Also oil etc... Not good on the old handies!
Product:
Rinse with a fine spray:
NB. The tru-touch gloves!
Befores:
Spray and agitate:
Afters:
To finish, take your car for a good drive, and dress the bay with some Megs Hyper Dressing.

Nice guide Paul.
You should add that you should dry the bay with an old cloth before the dressing as even in the engine bay water spots will happen.

That was just a quick guide. Normally it takes about an hour to do a full engine dress as I take things off etc. The company I went to on Sunday past snow foam their bays!

I'd add that to dress the engine the best results I've ever had are by spraying Auto Glyms Vinyl and Rubber care all over the engine bay after you have rinsed the degreaser off. It looks like white milk everywhere but don't panic, start the engine to generate some warmth, turn it off and hit the pub for an hour or so. When you get back it will look awesome! Best tip I was ever given.
