Default driveshaft intermediate bearing

hello, i have taken my driveshafts out , and when taking the o/s with intermediate bearing the bearing came out on the shaft and there was no seal for the bearing, is this normal as the manaul said ther should be a bush and seal behind it. can anyone shed some light thanks

Shouldn't be, When removing the off side D/S you take out the two bolts with the odd shaped heads that secure the intermediate bearing into the housing thats attached to the engine block. The only seal that may fall out will be the one in the diff housing on the gearbox.
