Default Dodo Juice home brew wax kit

I love the idea behind this, would be a good christmas present for the detailing geek of the family
You basically cook your own wax from pre measured ingredients, sounds geeky but I like the D.I.Y aspect.

http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalo...Wax_Kit_1.html

Obviously available at other retailers, that just seemed the cheapest at a glance.

Just need some laquer to apply it to now.....

I can see some liking the idea, however its not really from scratch, they have already pre-measured the ingredients for you, all you do is basically finish it off.

Also £36 for a wax that gives 2-3 months worth of protection strikes a bit shit when you can get FK1000 which imo is hard to beat for value and longevity.

All DJ are doing is finding something in the market that nobody else has done, which is great for them, although i cant help feel their products are a bit over hyped.

A lot of people will wax a car just for the sake of it - especially during spring/summer time when car shows are more common. I for one will not care if a midrange wax lasts a week or two if its really good and a pleasure to feel/smell/use. FK is very good but I'd probably only use this for winter due the the above reasons.

I've never used the DJ home brew kit so cant really comment on it...althought it looks quite fun as a christmas prezzie for detailers

dj waxes are over hyped but they are still excellent, they have a following now and everyone just bums them.

On another note just just bagged myself a full size DJ SN wax for £29 so the £36 price tag does seem steep!

Bit of a bump but mine came today. Excellent service from I4detailing.

Here's how it comes:

And the kit:

I'll be making it tonight so I'll update later on.
