Soundproofing boot?
I've started sound proofing my doors and boot lid. I've got a false floor in the boot so the boot floor is lined with ply and the original boot lining. Should I be putting dynamat on the boot floor as well as inside the lid?

Try to find everything that makes noise during low bass and dyno it up. Foam is a good thing to us on large areas but it can be intractable if not done right. But there are ppl more helpful than me

I deadened the full car, boot floor double layered, inside boot skin, rear bench, rear quarters, roof, floor and doors anything metal I pretty much covered it.
Yes it is worth it imo, expensive I'm not going to lie but it depends what deadening you use as to how the outcome is, if you use some thin ebay jobby then no it won't really do much and you will end up putting more and more on to get the same effect using less of a more expensive brand. Everyone will say dynamat is the best, but there are many other good brands out there, so do your research before you buy.

If soundproofing hasn't worked, you've not done it right.
simple as that.

How much of a difference does the soundproofing make in a Saxo boot running 1 x 12 inch sub. I've heard that some sound proofing is poor compared to another brand.

I've got dynamat door kits and I have been looking around for a cheaper option for the boot. Has anyone used "anti-vibe"?

You can't do it on the cheap, it just isn't as effective.
dynamat
secondskin
brownbread
are three good / known brands off the top of my head. I've always used second skin as there used to be some good deals on caraudiodirect. not bought it in years though so don't know what current prices are!

Then you used cheap materials or didn't do a proper install I'm afraid.
Good material/install makes a HUGE difference on the boot floor, the main floor, and the boot skin. Other areas that really benefit are the inner rear arches and door skins, along with the roof obviously

I found stuffing my boot lid with loft Insulation helps too, stuffing foam behind number plate and ditching 3rd brake light, removed my spoiler too as that had a tendency to rattle, these are all cheap ways of helping but as said previously be prepared to put your hand into your pocket to do the job properly !
