Push button start, STILL HASNT WORKED PAGE 2
ok got it fitted today and followed the guide in the max poor manual, it said to connect the blue wire from relay to the wire printed 100(blue wire), which is the starter solenoid and the white wire from relay to the wire printed CC01 (brown wire) which is the ignition
does that sound right???
i did all that earthed the button and ran the black wire from the button to relay
connected the battery and put it on ignition which started the engine without putting the key or pressing the button to turn it over, engine started but the starter motor just kept going
anybody got a clue what it could be???
if someone has a starter button on there saxo can they get a picture on how they wired it up???

it says in the manual make sure the blue 100 wire you connected is DEFINATLEY from from the starter solenoid and not the one that goes to the ignition switch........ read it through again mate and trace your cables make sure its all connected where it should be
update us soon as you see if it works or not

i checked the haynes wiring diagrams but its a 1996 to 2003 one so not sure if they have changed either
if anybody has fitted one to a mk2 then pictures would be ideal
could it be a bad earth if its wanting to turn over all the time and does the push button start have to be earthed in a certain way, ie i have two terminals one for earth and one for a wire to relay, is there a chance tehre round the wrong way or doesnt it matter???

if its firing the starter motor then its wired perfectly.
all you need to do is disable you imobilisor.
you need the key in the ignition and turned to the on position (the one before you used to start the engine)
If youve disconnected your battery, you may need to restart your alarm with the "3 turns of the key method"

i know but it starts on the ignition and carries on starting so it would burn the starter motor out, ie the 3rd click starts it and carries on going
ill give rep to someone who gets a picture of how they have wired theres up
EDIT heres how ive wired it up

Look at your blues
you have two wired in one.
look at pic 21 in the manual.
it should come out of the dash and into your relay.
There should then be a blue stub left in the barrel.

Basically your trying to run it twice so it shorts out and continues to run.
the cutt the chunky blue on the diagram next to the thin one provided in the kit

one sec.
EDIT: ADDED PIC
Atm your key is trying to complete the circuit and is shorting throu your extra wiring.
Cut it as it says on the diagram and tape it.
Your key will now only disarm the imobilisor.
You can now use your button to start the engine
