Rally car, needing to lose weight
Hi,
As above I have a Saxo vtr rally car and needing to lose quite a substantial amount of weight out of it as the MSA have changed the weight limits by about 150kg, any suggestions about fibreglass etc all would be appreciated as google is giving me absolutely nothing at the minute.
Thanks,
Greg

you,ll be very hard pressed to get to that weight with all the upgrades -cage ,bigger heels -sump gaurds etc no matter what you do you got a low ratio box in it ?eg cr =lsd geared fro about 110 flat out intop --thats what you want for rallying--that will increase your performmance no end

They used to sell stuff on ebay a few years back not sure if they're still trading.
I'm sure my 106's fibreglass doors came from them originally.

The weight your looking for should be achievable depending on the regs, you just need to look to reduce weight on every area of the car.
I'm looking for 670kg's on my 106 hillclimb car this year...

Yeah CCF made my doors, bonnet, boot and dash!
Lovely old boy, but as you've mentioned I'm pretty sure they don't trade anymore.
Dave, that's insanely light!?!?

I doubt you will get a rally saxo under 900 very easily tbh, sump guards two seats lights etc all add up!

My rallycross saxo with sump guard and original tank, dash and heater with me sat in it was less than 900 kgs,so under 900 car only should be easy.
