I've got a Dremel if you want to borrow it?
I concede your point entirely though, youre talking nearly a grand for 20bhp when it looks like your car is pretty damn competitive already.
Cheap turbo setup would be your best option for more power.

no updates to give on the engine yet but i have plans to fully rebuild a head with standard parts.
today i have had some alone time with (me, myself and) "irene"
splitter, should help keep nose dig in at high speed. i am going to re-enforce it with some plyboard.
thats a total of 22 self tapper screws in that front bumper lol
those with eagle eyes may notice the front sits a touch higher???
i have new springs
faulkner 155lb x 250mm free length =35-40mm drop
i bought my old springs (red ones) in good faith thinking they was the old school GMC -50mm 250lb springs
these new 155lb ones are shorter yet drop the car less and they feel much stiffer!
only thing is again i need to adjust the rear ride height lol. at least it only takes 30 mins to adjust the bars as theyre so oftern adjusted.
fronts may settle yet but i doubt it as theyre stiff.
also when the springs are in the car they are only just tight enough to stop them falling out the pans when the car is jacked up!

I chose the saxo because I had an AX GT and 106 XSi before, so the saxo felt like a natural move.
I actually own 2 saxos and a subaru.
The VTS is an amazing track car as standard - why wouldnt you chose it?
