Default Shrink Images to keep page dimensions?

Cant really describe what I mean very well here, so will attach an image, with all the problem of people uploading large images and then the page becoming wider, ahving to scrool across, things not being in line etc could anything be done to in affect automatically reduce image sizes to a clickable bigger on?

Mann, I make no sense

Example website, Edition38.com
*Piccy*

I only remembered ot resize it at the last second, that would've been a tad ironic

Yay or Gay?

works well on some forums having autoresize, something to see how easy it would be to code here i guess.

All images 'uploaded/attached' to saxperience forum posts are automatically resized... and displayed via the thumbnail/lightbox viewer.

If you link to an image using img tags, then currently no resizing is done. Technically not sure that can be resolved as the image is remotely hosted... but I guess this is what you mean?

is it??

Theres bound to be a module for vBulletin to do this.

Its a simple catch since you have to use the boards [img][/img] tags. If the image is over a certain size it would just add a "width=" value to the <img> tag on the page.

Exactly what I was thinking

Its not exactly something that'd be required, just another way to keep things tidy etc.
