Mozilla Firefox problems...
Right, Whenever I use Mozilla after a while the page won't let me click on anything and then comes up with (Page Not Responding) and I have to close the window and 'End Task'.
I then open a new window and start again and surprise surprise it does the same thing again and again. Now sometimes it won't even open a new window and I have to restart the laptop. Thing is MSN still work's so is nothing to do with my internet connection.
I used to use IE but that used to pop up with a restart with no option to cancel it and I had to restore my setting to get it to work again.
Whats wrong with my laptop? It's only a few months old.
P.s It's on Windows Vista
Thanks

Sounds to me like something is blocking it? Get yourself a free copy of Avast! Anti Virus, give it a try and then see how it goes?
Cheers,
Calum

I've got all that anti-virus stuff I think and my bf fiddled with it and checked for viruses and was fine but it seems whatever Internet I use such as IE or Mozilla it likes to stop working! lol.
Thing is it's a brand new laptop so shouldn't really have any problems with it tbh.
Thanks btw

Well sounds like he knows what hes doing! Only thing i can think of though so sorry im not much help!
Would just run your anti virus software then, make sure Vista is updated and run a Adware scan.
Adwares usualy identifiable by the toolbars etc. I take it you havent downloaded smileys for MSN from Smileycentral or anything? Their full of spyware.
Not sure of the layout of Vista, but on XP try Start -> All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer ( No Addons )
If it runs fine then its something ya've downloaded! x

Ive had the same problems with firefox/saxperience for ages now! I still think
its a problem with my ISP but strange how we both have the same issues.
I have to browse other sites until I can return. Make a few more posts and it
dies again..

Yeah it only seems to happen when I'm on sax-p. Thing is on Vista is the screen goes all hazed apart from the 'End Task' box so I can't click on anything else other then to close the window.. grr.

First please do this go to start>run> type in cmd press ok. then a black box should appear. then type in "ping google.com" (no "") and click enter. if you get a reply then your internet connection is fine its a problem with your browsers.
so next i would check your firewall make sure fire fox isnt being blocked.
hope this helps, if need more advice jus ask.

Seems like it could be an ISP problem.
What AntiVirus software you got? I bought a new laptop other week running Vista and I have never had any problems with it.

Yeah, James will have the same ISP as it's the same Internet Provider you are using.
There must be something preventing you from using firefox, but not 100% what.

Yeah, seems a bit weird. Because I was using IE then that used to stop for no reason and want to restart the laptop so gave up with that and now Mozilla doesn't like me. Don't really wanna have to install another browser! lol

Download Opera and see how you cope with that.
You got to break these problems into little bits and take it from there. No point in asking James, he won't know

Firefox updates automatically Baz when you use it, I'm pretty sure.
