Treble and midrange frequencies are directional meaning they only sound right if unobstructed, just a suggestion but if the co-axials were where the parcel shelf is they would sound alot better

Tidy install! If your thinking on getting rid of the 6x9's then id suggest just removing the speakers and leaving the grills in place so that the air movement from the boot can come into the car better!? At the moment the subs will be pushing on the back of the 6x9 bass drivers as there is nowhere for the air to go.

Sorry im not trying to nit pick at peoples installs just making suggestions which people might not have considered

Yer I didn’t think of that!!!! Might still get a new shelf and make up some sort of vents because I think that will look better then just leaving the grills… gives me something to think about bout!!! How I can make up some vents that look good or not noticeable

The bass will come through but not as well as poss, size doesnt matter really tbh as the midrange and treble will still be muffled by the parcel shelf and back seats

Didnt want you to think i was being an arse that was all tbh!
I put a port hole in the middle of my parcel shelf and comps either side so that bass could come through. There are piccys of it on my thread but ive sold the shelf now and made some fibreglass ones that are more out of the way. Have a look on my thread if you get a mo

Think i'm going to re-do my boot build, it looks nice but the way it's been built means i'm losing quiet a bit of sound. What is the best sub to get, 12" that will give the most kick?
