The xbox wireless adapter - help p2
So I need one ja
But I was in game last week and was about to pay for one at the till ( the black one ) and a gent in front was bringing one back, I listened in and then asked him why and he said this was his 3rd one he's brought back because it doesn't work, something to do with the disc and the fact group 'N' wont work in the average house
So what's best, the white or black? Do they do the same job? I don't want to buy 1 and end up having to take it back

I dont know why people are wasting there money with these things, if you buy a normal wirless usb reciever it works fine, you dont have to buy the actual xbox one. Just plug it in and thats it.

You cant just plug any receiver in, where would it get the drivers to work with the xbox?
No point buying the black one unless you have a wireless N network.
Wireless has been released in ranges: a, b, g and now N.
Each one has been faster and transmits further. Likewise your router will most likely broadcast in a, b and g, unless you bought a new router very recently that supports N.

No difference between the black and white ones, I work in GAME, and there is a problem with the disc, it will display "mixed media", sometimes, if you go to video library, then "current disc", it can still be run.

You can use LAM to WiFi bridges. They plug in to the LAN port and not the USB ports as per the MS item. I use the original white MS WiFi dongle and it works a lot better than the one built in my PC and laptop.

Buy the black one as it's compatible with A/B/G and N wireless networks.
Means you're future proof should you ever upgrade to N which you will more than likely do at some point as it is noticeably better than G.
If you buy the white one, you'll then have to buy the black one when (if) you upgrade to an N network.

I've had the white one ever since I got my 360 and never had any problems personally.
But as above if the price is the same may as well get the black one and be future proof?
