Default Recommend a basic gaming computer?

Well... my laptop has reached the stage of its life where it wants to load up webpages in random bits and takes about 10 seconds for the right click options to appear...

I currently use my laptop for simple gaming, video editing and sound production.

Which i know it cant handle.

I was thinking about wiping the laptop and putting xp on it (on vista atm) but i dont want to lose alot of my music production stuff.

So the plan is to get a computer i can just use for multi tasking side of video editing / games.

I want to be able to play games and listen to music at the same time without any lag etc.

Any recommendations?

I dont want anything too expensive since its only browser based game...

Let me know

HP laptop is always my recommendation if you have got to have a laptop ( prefer desktop myself cheaper, better spec, easy to upgrade, bigger screen and lower chance or breaking imo)

i have had a hp for a few years now and its had a hard life been dropped qutie abit and aside from the battery now being useless it still works pretty much as it did when i got it so cant fault it really

Anything with an q6600 quad core they are cheap these days + a decent value vid card 8800gt etc + 4gb of ram at atleast 800mhz clock.

Should be able to pick that up now for about £350 for just the tower
