whys my screen cocked up?
went to play cod 6 couple days ago, and my screen had got smaller. I mean the game wasnt full screen, theres like 2 inch of blackness at each side of the gaming window. Tried altering the video options in the game settings but nothing, its at 800 x 600 at the mo. Tried altering it on the monitor itself but cant get it back to full screen as it was before. why?

Do you have a widescreen monitor? If you do set it to a widescreen resolution.. a 15" monitor the resolution of windows and your desktop should be 800x600, a 17" 1024x768 and a 19" 1280x1024 - thats with a standard aspect ratio of 4:3, if its widescreen a 19" monitor should be 1440x900. If you have a nvidia graphics card you can set the stretching options in the nvidia control panel to remove the black lines from either side if you wish to play at a low resolution.. But remember low resolution = better performance but significantly reduced graphics which is fine if you don't have a gaming power house machine!
