Looks like a worthy adversary to Facebook, once it matures past Beta.

Got some invites if anybody wants to try it? Think you have to use a gmail account for it so.

It's like Facebook but when you add people, you add them into "Circles" which basically lets you choose what you say to who.

So you can have your "Work Pal's" group where you talk about stuff that you wouldn't otherwise want to share with people you don't work with, then you can have your other Group where everyone else is.

You can also have a "Hangout" where you can video chat with your friends, and watch Youtube videos together.

If I'm honest, I wouldn't recommend it unless you know a few people who use it, otherwise you may get a little bored alone.

Its basically Googles 3rd (I think) attempt at breaking into Social Networking so they can gather information on you themselves instead of paying Facebook for it.

Currently its invite only so you need someone who is on Google+ to invite you.

So far im not that impressed with it, the picture viewer is poor, the video chat implementation is dreadful, the facial recognition is crap (3 friends with profile pictures. Google saw ones whole picture as a face, another thought a mates shoulder was his face and on a third it couldn't find any face)

The profile information page is poor, notifications are annoying and are in 2 layers (you see a notification, you click it, the notification then changes to another piece that says the same thing which you can then click to view the thing the notification was about), the "circles" don't work properly on all browsers and I cant see them working very well with any more than 25 people per circle.

It reads all the email addresses from GMail and suggests you add them to Google+ including everything like eBay emails, Paypal emails, newsletters etc whcih you then need to delete if you want to get rid of them.

For now I will be sticking to Facebook haha.
