Default Sandy brown loom temprature sensor dials

Hey everyone finally got my gsxr throttle bodied 2003 saxo vts running but the temprature gauge ain't working on the dial take its the blue one on the head beside the thermostate houseing with the yellow ring round it I have been told I need a green one just wondering why this is and to be sure am ordering the correct one for sandys loom thanks

I am using a sandy brown loom also and my water temp doesnt work. I have a seperate guage for water & oil temp. But it is something id like to get working.

What happens if you earth the wire out to the sender? Does the gauge go all the way to the top?

iv changed both of the coolant temprature sensors on it til green ones they were both blue before and his water temprature plug on his loom still ain't powering the dial in the dash took both sensors of a 1998 106 gti engine

3 plug cars the water temp requires data from the original ECU, it's not just a variable resistance as on older cars. I advise all customers for 3 plug looms, that's the case.
