Too Loud?!
ok people, what are the laws on how loud your car can be on the road?
got pulled last night and he sed my car was too loud for how late i was out
so i tested it this morning and it idles at 46 decibels and at 3000rpm its only 48 decibels...
so sureley its jus the tone of my exhaust that makes's it sounds louder :/? maybe...

lol, you pulled those figures out of a hat? Because 46-48 db is about the range of a noisy computer fan. Cars don't go nowhere near that.

48 decibels....I get the feeling you didn't test properly
Chances are it's approaching 100 if the fuzz said it was too loud

I remember eyars ago, my 1.1 was so silent people would cross the street without even looking, as they assumed no noise = no car. The car was actually outputting 78 db. Even electric cars don't score 48 db

they actually design them loud enough to be heard now. Previous cars were deemed dangerous as people would not hear them. Some electric cars even have built in speakers to output noises.
