pulled up on my drive way tonight to notice steam coming up from under the bonnet and a pool of water (i think) gathering under the car.

poped the bonnet, and noticed the water and steam gathering around the right hand side of the engine down near the gear box area and the water was then dripping of the bottom of the gear box on to the floor! wot the feck has happened?????

its on a Mark 2 2002 VTR!

please help

cheers andy

The thermostat housing is directly above the

gearbox, so it could be a leak there. It could just be a coolant hose has decided to split or just come loose. If so it'll only cost a few quid.

just got of the phone to citroen at it is the thermostat housing that has gone.

at first they tryed to blame it on me saying it was damaged due to the car being modified!

I told them that Im not hiding the fact that the car is modified, IT MAY HAVE A FULL BODY KIT, BIG ALLOYS AND A SOUND SYSTEM, BUT THE FUCKING ENGINE IS STANDARD FOR GOD SAKES!!!! SO HOW COULD I HAVE DAMAGED A THERMOSTAT HOUSING?????, THE ONLY REASON I KNEW WHERE THIS PART WAS BECAUSE THAT WAS WHERE THE WATER WAS PISSING OUT FROM!!!!!

oh rite they said! ok well, we will cover it under warrenty then!

dam rite u will i said!!! lol

rant over! why do garages always try it on with you!???

cheers andy
