The thing thats annoying me with sub focus and chase and status is that there getting way to commercialised now, End Credits has been put on a Now album, now that is low.

haha yeh I know what you mean. They have to make the real money though (not a good enough excuse for me but thats how it goes)
Think its more because it was the theme tune for harry brown, think plan b was acting in it?

+1
dont get me wrong, ive got massive respect for them for branching out and making some money from music
but if you went to a proper dnb night - shogun audio, renegade hardware etc and you heard a C&S or subfocus tune, then you'd see how quickly the dancefloor empties
the dnb scene is quite a small world, and most people that attend nights are critics. play a crap tune, or mess up a mix and you'll soon know about it. - everyone there has a massive passion for the music.
if your into hard hitting dnb, wait till the end of this month, renegade hardwares 15 year 3cd mix is being released. theyre the best label for hard hitting energy music

dubsteps dying off quickly. it's just bandwagon music really. dont get me wrong there are some great dubstep producers out there making great tracks. but unless you attend either a whyNotDubstep night, or FWD vs rinse, then you'll never hear them really. the main problem is that a lot of producers are making the commercial crap with the same old plasic basslines - this is what 99% of people hear, and therefore assume it's "dubstep". it's a shame as the music has great potential, it's just full of knobbers who bum out radio1.
as for dubstep producers:
cutz
caski
R-demon
boxcutter
starkey
neil landstrumm
burial
juttla
kode 9
n-type
pinch
the bug
mala
coki
benga
skream (older stuff imo)
chef
hatcha
16bit
bar9
oneman
headhunter
the list goes on...
a few dnb albums i'd get:
dom and roland - through the looking glass
alix perez - 1984
zero T - cheap shots
renegade hardware - babylon
horizons music - dream theif
fabric live 35
fabric live 40
fabric live 44
commix - call to mind
jenna G - for lost friends
calibre - overflow
all sounds electric 2
mutt - treading water
all diverse types of dnb there, from liquid, to minimal, to harder stuff, darker / deeper. everything needed dont get drawn into the commercial stuff, the real scene will always live in the underground, and unless you pay attention to it, you'd never ever hear of the best producers / DJ's

If dubstep is diein out now Ash then i wonder what the enxt genre is for the sell outs? I mean Funky aint hugley popular but is big for the sell outs, cant really think of another other sell out music tbh. Somthing electro'ey.

dubsteps still going strong underground and will continue to do so. like dnb the actual scene's not massive once you dig through the commercial crap. Especially when you consider outside of london theres not many event's happening, 1 or 2 per year in bristol and brighton, but other than that theres hardley anything
that funky bollocks does my head in lol. nearly as bad as bassline
hopefully the knobbers will just continue pissing about listening to RnB or some other form of talentless crap
something intresting, watch out for the american grime scene

RnB aint that bad!
Nothing will ever ever be as bad as bassline! Ive heard of this american grime, but havnt really looked into it much, europes catching onto grime and doing some good productions though!

it's know over hear as american grime, although it's really just hiphop. and it doesnt really exist yet lol, but soon will (i think)
if you look at the way yanks have started using high pitched synthy freq's in their music the same way europeans do. and the way dubstep is growing there, then it wont take long before they start using low synth bass lines / wobblers in hiphop the way the UK is famous for. should be intresting when it properly takes off. i heard a couple of tracks with british basslines, quite high attack envelopes on short stabby notes, hard hitting snare drums and i liked it
