iPhone unlock
yeah i know its another thread on iPhone unlocking. lol.. my dad had a spare 3g 8GB one so i bought it off him. im on Orange pay as you go atm and dont really want to get a new 02 sim card and all that stuff, so was wondering how would internet browsing work if i got it unlocked to orange? would i have to set some sort of contract up or something?

Hold fire, orange have just got the rights to sell the iphone so see what options they have about migrating phones "locked" to O2.

cheers for the replies guys, my dad spoke to someone at his work today and he said that it an be unlocked but said if you do the jailbreak thingy and if you update itunes and when you update it on the iphone, the iphone resets itself and then you loose everything and it goes back on to 02
has this happened to anyone on here?

yeah as scott said just dont update the software on itunes, all you have to do then is wait for the dev team to come out with the new software crack
