Does anyone have a chipped VTR phase 2? I just wanted to know which chips work well without spending too much. I found one on CITuning at £235 is that about average or what?

I know nothing of the CITuning item you talk of. But people don't generally “ chip “ these cars. The standard map is not all that bad so there is nothing you can really gain from just a generic chip for the most part. If you have a significantly modified engine you can get the engine mapped for its specific spec but this is very different to a “ chip “

Simply forget chipping of any kind on any saxo engine. It is pointless and expensive for very small unnoticeable gains
you want more power get yourself
manifold
exhaust
cams
remap

That was the plan like exept I was going to chip it instead of remap. Iv got quotes for the rest but how much does a remap usually cost?

£400-£500 for a remap.

I THINK you can get a predetar plug and play ECU for about £500 and the guy maps it aswell all in. Might have been a promotion.

As said though If you have basic breathing mods then a chip wont give much gain anyway. If you have cams etc then you need a remap so a chip is pointless imo.
