Default replica filters

im thinking of buying this replica kit off ebay. its quater of the price of the genuine kit so im thinking of buying this one + silicone hoses and a decent filter? is this a good way of saving money or is it worth me getting the genuine kit?

save your money and go with that bud. The expensive are maybe a little better but certainly not worth the extra money.

My friend has a 760bhp r32 gtr skyline, he replaces the element in his hks filters with ripspeed ones. It made no difference to the power and they are a tenth of the price.

Ha.. We had a guy come into work at Halfords newton abbot buying the blue mushroom ripspeed filter for a skyline, says there as good as the proper ones.

Not sure if it's the same guy as he uses his for drifting.

On a saxo, it probably makes so little difference its not worth paying the extra

The extra money goes into the quality of the filtration. The cheaper the filter the lower the quality of filtration, so the more damage it does to your engine.

Not anything drastic though.
